A vibrant celebration of music, food, and community spirit is set to take place this Sunday, July 20, as the Buildings and Food restaurant group hosts its second annual block party. Located within the bustling Taste of Tremont festival, this event promises a lively afternoon from 2 to 8 p.m., featuring an array of entertainment options including live performances and DJ sets. The main objective of the gathering is to contribute significantly to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, with a fundraising target of $30,000.
Each brand under the Buildings and Food umbrella will showcase its culinary and beverage specialties at this festive occasion. Guests can indulge in Eastern European delicacies from Prosperity Social Club, savor burgers prepared by Good Company, enjoy craft beers and seltzers from Old 86, sample exquisite wines courtesy of La Cave du Vin, relish handcrafted cocktails at Spotted Owl, or refresh with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cold coffee beverages from Peristyle Coffee. Alongside these offerings, visitors can participate in raffles, win giveaways, admire balloon artistry, and immerse themselves in the celebratory ambiance.
This year's event seeks to build on last year’s success, where nearly $30,000 was raised for the food bank. Attendees are encouraged to make a $40 donation towards the cause, ensuring all proceeds from food and drink sales go directly to support the nonprofit organization. For those seeking an elevated experience, all-inclusive VIP wristbands priced at $150 provide exclusive access to premium amenities such as a private tent area, gourmet cuisine crafted by renowned chef Ryan Williams, and carefully selected wine pairings curated by esteemed wine director Sean Cathcart. Held in the parking lot adjacent to the Cleveland Public Library’s Jefferson Avenue branch, this block party exemplifies how community engagement and generous contributions can uplift local initiatives dedicated to fighting hunger.
