Ford Racing Parts, collaborating with Whipple Superchargers, has officially launched a new supercharger kit. This innovative kit is specifically engineered for the 5.0-liter V8 engines powering both the Ford F-150 pickup truck and the legendary Mustang sports car.
With the installation of this 3.0-liter supercharger, the F-150's engine output soars to an impressive 700 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. For the Mustang, the power figures are even more astonishing, reaching up to 810 hp and 815 lb-ft of torque when equipped with the active exhaust system. Models with the standard exhaust will still see a substantial 800 hp, matching the GTD's output.
The new supercharger kit for the Mustang, compatible with 2024-2026 models, is priced at $10,500. The F-150 kit, designed for 2021-2026 model year pickups in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations with a single alternator, costs $10,250.
This upgrade provides a substantial increase of approximately 300 horsepower. A standard Mustang GT, typically producing 480 hp from its Coyote V8, will see its output jump to around 780 hp with the supercharger. The Dark Horse variant, which already boasts 500 hp, will achieve approximately 800 hp after the modification. Similarly, the stock F-150's 400 hp is elevated to an impressive 700 hp.
The Mustang kit comes complete with a dual-pass intercooler, a 92-mm throttle body, upgraded spark plugs, and GT500 port fuel injectors. The F-150 kit, while still offering significant gains, primarily includes the intercooler upgrade. Both kits maintain the vehicle's maximum speed and are backed by a three-year, 36,000-mile factory warranty. However, it is noted that these kits are not available for 2026 models in California.
Nokian has unveiled the Hakkapeliitta 01, a revolutionary studded snow tire that intelligently adapts its grip to changing temperatures. This innovative design allows the studs to extend or retract automatically, offering superior performance on icy and snowy roads while minimizing common issues associated with traditional studded tires like road wear and noise. This advancement promises enhanced safety and comfort for drivers in harsh winter conditions.

Ram has unveiled the 2026 Lunar Editions for its 2500 Rebel and Power Wagon heavy-duty trucks, bringing back the space-themed appearance package. These special editions feature a distinctive Ceramic Grey Clearcoat and Diamond Black Crystal Pearlcoat paint scheme, along with high-end leather interiors accented with Copperhead Orange stitching. Available later this month, these trucks offer a luxurious and unique aesthetic for enthusiasts of both heavy-duty performance and cosmic styling.
