Moving from the sun-drenched palette of her previous collection, Jenny Packham for Fall 2026 sets her sights on the infinite cosmos. The designer expressed a deep fascination with how culture seeks refuge in escapism, particularly highlighting science fiction's pioneering role in portraying women as formidable, forward-thinking leaders, such as the iconic figures from Star Trek and the adventurous Barbarella. This imaginative wellspring served as the core inspiration for a collection that celebrates empowered femininity.
The collection transitions from the rich turmeric and saffron tones of Pre-Fall 2026 to an array of colors reminiscent of the aurora borealis. Gowns shimmer in celestial silvers, delicate dawn pinks, deep dusky blues, and inky onyx blacks. These cosmic shades form the backdrop for Packham's signature silhouettes, now imbued with refined details that speak to a futuristic yet timeless elegance.
Packham's distinctive design language is evident throughout the collection, with an emphasis on strong power shoulders that command attention. Other pieces feature provocative dipped backs, artfully slashed necks, and seductive smoky sheer panels. A standout copper gown, for instance, showcases intricately sculpted shoulders, a high neckline, and a daring keyhole front. Its innovative hand-beading, layered over machine embellishments, creates unprecedented depth and dimension, enhancing Packham's renowned super-sparkle.
Among the collection's highlights is a black caped minidress, adorned with swirling crystal shoulders that evoke a star-drenched night. This piece is envisioned for glamorous cocktail events, symbolizing an openness to the night's possibilities and a readiness for any adventure it might bring, blending sophisticated design with a touch of cosmic wonder.
The designer's commitment to experimentation is clear in her use of color and texture. Bronze embellished droplets delicately grace a pale pink fabric, producing a captivating shimmering effect. Clusters of Rivoli crystals and petal-shaped beads meticulously trace the arms and ascend the necklines, adding an organic, otherworldly touch. Diamond-shaped, cut-chain sleeves and a striking honeycomb silver necklace detail on a lavender fabric further exemplify this innovative approach.
One of the collection's most audacious creations is a dark, sheer gown, adorned with tendrils of crystals that mimic comet trails across the body, offering a bold yet ethereal statement. Packham also continues to expand her range of slinky satin dresses and bias-cut designs. These pieces are crafted to appeal to a younger, confident clientele, embodying a spirit that seamlessly transitions from the magic of the night sky to the promise of the morning sun.
